Trade Secretary: Window Teller
History of the Trade Window traffic

As of May 20, 2009: This addon is unsupported for the time being. AddOn authoring was only a hobby of mine. Mike-N-Go is not currently playing WoW, thus not creating or maintaining mods for WoW. If someone wishes to submit a patch for one of my mods to WoWInterface, you may within the bounds of the license bundled with the mod.

Recent Changes and Important Information:
Version: 30400-0.0.01

Brief Description:
Ever ponder who that item in your pack is from? Forget if you already gave 'em an item? This mod prints to your chat frame what moved through the trade window, including the items in slot 1-6 on both sides, and any monies exchanged. The seventh slot is a special case and will be included in a future version. Also, the feature of reviewing trades in previous sessions is currently not implemented; all this mod in the current state does is print items/gold exchanged to the chat frame.

Use:
This mod is either enabled, or disabled. There are no options or settings. Trade, and you will see a print to your screen.

Installation:
After you decompress the file, copy the TradeSecetaryWindowTeller folder into your Interface/AddOns folder under your World of Warcraft Installation Directory.

A note to my fellow authors:
If anyone wishes to use more then a few lines of my code, I request you credit me by saying, "This product includes software developed by MikeNGo" somewhere as a comment, or in your documentation. I also hope that anyone who would take the time to read my code, would take the time to send me an e-mail of what you think, or what can otherwise be improved.

Credits:
Special thanks to all the willing Horde of Sisters of Elune for helping me test this addon.

Caveats, Known Bugs, etc.:
• Items traded to the user that are not in there local cache have their names instead of there tooltips displayed

Future expansion, additions, planed features, etc:
• Recording/displaying of history
• The seventh 'Will Not Be Traded' slot
• GUI to display past trades

About the Version Numbers:
Version: xxxxx-x.x.xx ([interface number]-[major version].[sub version].[current release])
Interface number: Version of the interface the addon was most recently updated for, this number and the version number have no linear relationship with the latter clauses.
Major version: When the mod evolves to a state that is vastly different from the first distribution of the prior major version, this will be updated.
Sub version: Whenever the mod has new features added, or many minor tweaks, this number might advance.
Current release: The current reversion of the sub version, changed every time a new version of the mod is submitted to WoWInterface.com

I do not know what 'they' you are referring to, so I will answer it off of my two best assumptions. Either you are referring to yourself, as a user of the mod, or the other party you are trading with.

If you, the current player, is using the mod, then you will text in the format as shown in the screen shot.

This mod only shows with the current player what was traded; if the other person does not have the mod, they will see.. the stuff traded to them or the lack thereof , as in, nothing from the mod.

It only shows to the current user what is traded, and is invisible to the other user; it is not required for both parties to have the mod for it to work. Again, all it does is observe what was traded, and tell the user what exchanged hands.

You worded your question awkwardly vague. Please let me know if this is what the answer to what you wanted to know; and it would help to provide more input and define what things like 'they' are.

If the interface number in the .toc file is greater then the current interface number, it would not affect load, only be ahead of its time. For some strange reason I thought the interface reversion was 30400.. Thanks, I'll put that on the todo list.
