I wasn't thrilled with the linear quest progression of Cata. I have 6 85 toons and leveling all of them in the exact same way was a pain. I'm actually a fan of the vanilla quest model. Although I think they scored with dailies in BC.

Really looking forward to MOP. I've stayed away from the beta even though I have access, so no spoilers!

I predominately play during the winter months and I'll never get into hard core raiding again, I'm just too old now! I'm into AH, PVP and casual raiding.

Yeah, that's another point. I think the changes were perfect for new players who aren't familiar with the quest lines and really benefit from the linear progression, but they're just awful for anyone with multiple characters. Plus the XP required per level is too low, and/or the XP awarded per quest too high, so I end up quickly outleveling the quests and having to go find another level-appropriate quest hub that will actually give me quests without having completed the previous hub.

I added the ability to "Vote up" a macro - does that verbiage make sense to you guys? i was going to do Thumbs Up and Down but I ended up just doing the one, like a "like" button sort of.

I am going to store a cookie or localstorage to block revoters tonight.

I'm not sure how much cookies or localstorage will really help... if someone wants to re-vote, they can just clear their browser's local data. I guess it will probably stop most casual re-voters who just forgot they already voted.

Anyway, I generally don't find simple rating systems like that very helpful, especially if they're only one way. If I'm visiting a site that's 1 year old, a good macro that's 1 year old will have a much higher rating than an amazing macro that's 1 month old, and that makes the rating information completely useless. A system like Amazon's would be better, where each vote is from 1-5, and the total rating is the average of all votes, with the total number of votes displayed next to the average rating.

Thanks for the feedback on the voting, I'm changing it now!
