Would be nice to see an update here again. I like this AddOn very much, because it is kept minimalistic and allows an easy configuration via lua.
I am not aware of any other alternatives.

It will be for 2560x1440p like my Yulu UI for retail and is still based on an older version from Caith UI (like it was in Burning Crusade). So... NO, I will NOT port my retail-UI to classic, because that would be boring, and destroy the atmosphe...

Hi. What you see in my screenshot is realized with WeakAura.
It is supposed to show a display for the most important buffs/dots etc. of a class. Since I'm currently only playing the enhancement shaman, I only have the buff display for this spec ready.
BUT:
You can easily create your own display:

Looks better than I expected with this exotic resolution.
You can move the quartz-castbars over /quartz, that's not very difficult, just adjust the X coordinates until the castbar is flush with the playerf...

This is because this UI is designed for 2560x1440. You can make the frame bigger with /kgpanels config or you can delete the panel. I also see that some weakauras (minimap) are not positioned correctly. You have to do this manually, sorry.
You can move the quest tracker with /kt config a bit down, under the minimap.

The bar on the right side of the UI is for hearhstones, teleports, far sight, mobile banking, reeves batterie, some funny macros :D ...all the stuff that I don't need to see all the time.

Mainly I use keybindings, which I realize with BindPad. This saves a lot of space on the regular action bar.
My BindPad currently looks like this (maybe I should clean up :P):

The action bar is just a display for the CDs. The only thing I click on it with the mouse is heroism....

I know that many players still play it in 1080p and I will try to support both if possible.

Never had any problems with the texture of chat-editbox, do you have a picture of it? Will pushing an update soon. For now, there were no bigger problems for me (maybe updating addons is necessary sometimes).
BTW:
I've replaced Combuctor with ArkInventory for me, because sorting was a bit odd sometime...

BTW:
The profile you chose is still an old remnant from the original Caith UI. I loaded the old profiles from Caith and built on them until I decided to make it completely new. It's quite embarrassing that I haven't deleted...
