Ogri'Lazy  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.2
by: Foxlit [More]

Apexis Relics (as well as Apexis Monuments) around Ogri'la plateaus have you replay a sequence of up to 10 notes - but the sequence is easily forgotten, and writing it down is cumbersome (besides, it takes effort!).

Ogri'Lazy is aimed to simplify the process. When you interact with an Apexis Relic/Monument, the Ogri'Lazy window appears with four buttons, each representing a color of the sub pylon. Add the sequence the Relic is playing by pressing the buttons (or the hotkeys), and Ogri'Lazy will automatically keep track of the sequence for you. Once you start replaying the sequence, Ogri'Lazy will also keep track of your progress, saving you from forgetting which note you were up to.

Sounds good in theory, but I had to remove that timer since waiting for 10 notes to play causes a timeout. So when you sit there waiting for it to play the 10 note sequence, once you start trying to repeat it, 2 go away. Its annoying, and I'm not sure why the timer is there.

1.0.7 does this, live now

And it would really be helpful if the hotkeys were in the same pattern as the buttons, because it's still hard to quickly translate the color to a R, G, B, or Y key... I'd rather pick the numpad's Home, End, PgUp, PgDn keys...
Also included in 1.0.7; use /relic keyset syskeys to use those keys.

1.0.7 contains a workaround for a client/server sync issue that's actually at fault here - the debuff fading doesn't pose a problem, but if it doesn't fade on time, things start to get nasty. Either way, 1.0.7 should not be removing multiple queued elements.

i think if u use number but not color will better
topleft =1
topright =2
bottomleft =3
bottom right = 4

mabye when u doing this quest 1st time red is topleft
but doing next time it will change to bottom right

so i always look for where is red, where is yellow

we need to ignore color just remenber where is he gone where is he going

This is flagged as working with 2.4, yet the ToC hasn't been bumped.

It should not be affected by the changes in 2.4, hence no changes to the source code at this time; the "works with 2.4" flag is there because it should, quite literary, work on 2.4 ("load out of date addons" may help).

This is the reason that Blizzard Blames addons for every little crash... how hard is it to update the TOC file and upload it?

Great mod - only thing is the "X" to close it is to close to the green and if you use your mouse, like I do, sometimes you hit X and close the mod - game over.

Thank You for your time

I find the Best way to work around the [X] is to keep your cursor in the center of the four colored squares when using the mouse. It then takes minimal movement to hit the squares when you need to.

I use a powershell script to update my mods on all the various sites, and I ran into a problem with this mod because of the ' character in its name. I doubt many others use scripts to update, but I thought I'd let you know that it fails for people who do.

I like the idea and the interface works great. I like to click much better than typing 3233244141 into my chat box. Thanks for your work.

That is fixed in 1.0.9+. (If you could edit the listing of your addons out, it'd be awesome -- it's a bit too long and serves no real purpose).

You can disable the key bindings in 1.0.9 (/ogri config -> Uncheck "Enable hotkeys while Ogri'Lazy is shown"); as far as I'm aware, it has bound this set of hotkeys while the Ogri'Lazy window is shown for a long, long time. If the set of default keybindings is not what you'd prefer, you can customize it easily; if you'd prefer to use the addon without those keybindings, you can as well. On a side note, the lack of basic spelling and punctuation is annoying.

Having said that; 1.0.10 resolves an issue where under some circumstances, the keys would not be restored properly when Ogri'Lazy is closed. Update.

Thanks for fixing the annoying error with the keybindings as well. I had got yelled at several times for NOT listing the addons, so thanks for confirming it serves no purpose!

There are limited situations when that listing is useful to determine an addon conflict, but those situations are rare and this wasn't one of them
