Maximum font size?

Is there a maximum font size in a wow message frame? I've got a message frame that I'm using with a configurable font size and any change I make up to about a size of 30 works fine. If I go higher than that, the change seems to be ignored, it continues to display at the font size of 30. I've looked all over and I haven't seen anything on the subject. A check of the font's properties will show the size I set, but the frame itself continues to display at the smaller size.

There is a maximum font size. The maximum font size will vary depending on your UIscale, and your chatframe's scale.

That is, the maximum absolute font size is the same after you multiply out the scale.

I've seen the same behavior when trying to set the line spacing to a negative value, it seems to work and doesn't throw an error, but the display does not reflect the change.
