ESC not working and Player/Target (De)Buffs not showing for a while

I've recently started using nUI, and now nUI+ as well, and the only problems I've run into are that after I've been playing for a while, the ESC key will not pop up the Game Menu - it will still close windows, etc... Just wont open the menu. This is fixed each time with a /nui rl. I have not yet started testing to see if this is a conflict with any of the other addons I've installed recently - I will try to get to that on Monday.

I was also going to add that my player/target (de)buffs weren't showing without using the nUI_AuraButtons addon... Except that when I went to try and take a screenshot of this behavior - all of a sudden it was working correctly.

Very strange.

When you log in to WoW, is nUI reporting that version 5.07.19 is loaded?

Have you tried the clean install that's recommended here: http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=37330

nUI+ Version 5.07.19 (Plus).

I just disabled Prat 3.0 as it was apparently the cause of some error messages I'd been getting related to chatframes (go figure.. two mods messing with the same frame... hmmm?) and will update later if I encounter the ESC key problems again. I'm also going to go through the clean install process now.

EDIT: Ok, full clean reinstall complete... Will post again if I see the ESC error anymore.

Hello!

I also have this issue where I don't see the tooltip appearing when I mouse-over a debuff positioned next to the HuD. I have searched these forums for a fix for that, but it seems there's no solid solution for it (unless I'm not searching at the right spot). My version of nUI is 5.07.19_Plus.

What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

p.s. I have no problems with the Escape-button not showing the options screen.

The tooltips were turned off on the debuffs displayed next to the HUD because they were interfering with people clicking in the field of play during combat.

If you want to turn them back on, use a plain text editor like NOTEPAD to edit the two files

[ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Layouts > Default > HUDLayouts > {hud mode} > nUI_HUDSkin_{hud mode}_Player.lua ]

and

[ Interface > AddOns > nUI > Layouts > Default > HUDLayouts > {hud mode} > nUI_HUDSkin_{hud mode}_Target.lua ]

note: {hud mode} is one of PlayerTarget, HealthPower, etc. depending on which HUD you use.

Do a search for the ["Aura"] section in the file. The first block of auras in the file, [1], where aura_type = "harm" is the one you need to change. Look about half way down in the options section and change clickable = false to clickable = true and save the file.

That should make the tooltips works again. Just note that clicking anywhere in the field where auras are hidden when not displayed will interfere with the mouse (which is why I have that turned off at present).
