Addon Request

i was wondering if anyone could make an addon that monitors a selected chat channel (perferablie guild chat) for a list of words created by the user and if the addon finds any of the words it sends an automated message created by the user.

i thought it would be i mean pretty much all its doing is looking for a certain word to trigger the message

There's no reason that this wouldn't be possible.

That being said, I can't think of any addons that actually do this, sorry. Perhaps someone could make it for you; it's not exactly difficult.

ya i couldent find any that do it and seeing that i dont have the knowledge to write it myself i was wondering if anyone could.
it would my job as my guilds security alot easyer.

Well it's been a LOOOONG time since i've used it but I believe ChatMOD (correct spelling) does this and you can get that off of curse.com. I have since switched to prat and it might do it just haven't trudged through the options as there is eleventy billion of them in Prat.

In Chatter, it has settings to 'highlight' my own name when it comes up, and works very well. I'm sure something could be done with that to bring this functionality.

i looked at those and the descriptions dident really say anything about what i need and he chatter dident have a description what so ever

Moons ago, I used TextSpy for auto-reply when a match to some text was made, but I do not know if it has built in support to only watch guild or only reply to guild.
