Updating addons via curse client/recommendations on quest tracker?

what addons should I not update via curse client due to source code editing done by the compilation creator?

Also any recommendations on a quest tracker? the default one is too big and doesnt flow well with the rest of the UI.

There is a "Do not update" list at the bottom of the download page and in the README file included in the zip. If an addon is not on this list, it can be updated via Curse Client.

Unless something has changed, you can update Grid2 including the main module, though you'll have to manually tweak the text shadow offset if you do.

The only change I've made to Grid2 is removing the 'shadow' from text. This is done by adding the following line to Grid2\Modules\IndicatorText.lua -> Text_Create function.

Lua Code:
Text:SetShadowOffset(0,0)

Since this is a very minor change, updating Grid2 won't cause any issues beside the shadow on text coming back.
