Pick for 7/4: Moniker (new) and QuickStatus (new)

 Wish you could rename your Real ID Friends in game? Maybe to just their first names, or a nickname, or maybe the character name that you know them by best. Now you can! Moniker adds a "Rename" entry to the right-click menu for friends' names in the Friends List window. This will change their displayed name in the toaster popup, the Friends List, and in chat. View your friends the way you want to, and visit this addon's download page. QuickStatus:  Do you enjoy sending out regular status messages to your Real ID friends, but find it tedious to open up your Friends frame and click in the box before typing your message? With QuickStatus, you have two new easy ways to type out your status message. You can either use the slash command and type your status from within the chat window (ex. "/qs I just dinged 80!") or bind a key to the QuickStatus window (the edit box and text are pre-selected for you to type your new message). Now you can set your status easier and quicker - meaning you can do it mid-fight if you wanted! You can download the addon here. For previous Picks of the Week, see here. Nice one.
For the first I was using tekkub's UnrealID project off Github. He appears to of pulled for reasons known only to himself and the bacon he dreams of nightly. Not that I'm mad at him for doing so. It's his code after all and I'm not sure if he wanted that code public The replacement is smaller and appears to be more functional as well For the second it's nice to be able to set it without having to open the friends list. PPC Macs lag really badly in game for any Real ID or battle.net interactions so it's nice to be able to set your status without opening up that laggy thing. Both favourited thy seerah.
