Mist of Pandaria Q&A~

So, making a thread on the Q&A for PoM going tonight.

One of the First Questions ask was pretty nice;

Q) Hey there. Will Pandaria have a new Dalaran like city or will we be using the ones already existing ingame?

A) Mumper: We will have separate player hubs for both the Horde and Alliance on Pandaria. Separate hubs means we do not have to make them sanctuary and will encourage world PVP. These hubs will have access to an AH, Bank and general vendors. Valor, conquest, profession and faction vendors will be scattered around the world to encourage travel

Looking forward to a new Hub area tbh. And non sanctuary! I'm liking this so far.

If I'm still playing my rogue, I am just going to sit outside the hub and stalk people until they are far enough away that they can't run back before I gank them.

then this is good news:

a) One of the current issues discouraging World pvp is the presence of highly overpowered guards around cities and hubs, 1-shotting anyone who engages in pvp. How will this be in MoP?

b) We know this is an issue in the current game and we plan to address it in Mists. We want to encourage world PVP, not make it a one-shot game for npc guards. This is one of the main reasons we decided to make two separate player hubs instead of a shared sanctuary.

I stand corrected on dumb questions asked...

I don't like PvP, I play on a PvP server, because my friends on a PvP server and most people from my country is playing on that particular server. I have to face world PvP every time I am doing my bussiness in the new hubs in Pandaria? I love the new zone, but I don't want to be backstabbed by a rogue while I am selling my stuff, or buying equipment. Can non-interested players avoid the world PvP

And some questions that shouldn't even be answered and/or noticed. >>

They'll probably tone it back a notch, but will likely cave if too many people start crying about getting killed outside of a PvP instance.

Hopefully World PvP won't be as worrisome on PvE servers. I personally hate forced PvP. I've accidently been toggled for PvP by either healing someone flagged or running a bit too close to an opposing faction area in a mixed zone, I've dealt with it one way or another and remembered to avoid the issue again. As long as we have the option to do PvP on PvE servers it shouldn't be a problem.

It would actually cause me to seriously consider not playing WoW after all these years.

ya nother 5 days to level 90. Sigh then bordom doing same crap over and over again. Iam not going to worry or care about it myself. this expansion sucks! so looks like this one will to.

If you don't want to do the same old thing, then this game probably isn't for you.

And yet you still pay your monthly subscription. Blizzard is happy to have you.

I think the expansion is great. They are giving something to everyone. Surprise, not everyone raids 100% of the time and treats this game like a job. For me, and I believe many others, it is FUN, it is not WORK. I can easily spend 2 hours flying around a zone doing nothing but enjoying the artwork. I don't feel like I need to "get anywhere" in WoW - I just enjoy "playing".

I for one am hoping the PvE Scenarios are like they were in Warhammer - where at various places in the realm there are events on timers - when you come into an area a quest objective timer pops up - showing you what phase the event is in and how many objectives are left to kill/gather/etc. It gets people working together and you get decent rewards. Again, that's how it worked in Warhammer, but for people who enjoy questing like me it was nice to get decent gear whilst questing without having to to instances.

So - I can appreciate your opinion - but honestly - being all doom and gloom and you still pay your subscription fee? That tells me you just like to complain. Don't like the game? QUIT. Play something you LIKE PLAYING, not something that always pisses you off and makes you mad. This is a VIDEO GAME people - seriously - if you don't like it play ANOTHER GAME. Unless the "game" you like playing is to be a complaining troll. Then, well, I guess you are playing the game you like then aren't you?
