eepanel script

Need a favor. Would someone be so kind as to write a script for a eepanel or direct me on where to find the information on how to?

Specifically, I'm looking to hide a panel when my pet bar is gone, and to reappear when the pet bar returns.

Thanks in advance.

**Edit, keep in mind my pet bar is from Bartender 3. I have attempted --
/print GetMouseFocus():GetName() -- however it only brings up individual buttons not a frame name. Unless "Petactionbutton1" is a frame name. My understanding is that I can anchor the panel to my pet bar, which would do what I'm asking above. Correct?

Is about the only information I could find on the subject..

I've never used eepanels but I presume their will be an option to set the parent of a frame. So just set your panels parent to your pet frame.

A mod I would advise for getting the names of frames is Where's My Cow

If You unlock Bartender3 (so that you get the green frames marking the bar), then you should get the correct bar you need when getting frame name.

The wowace site is a wonderful source of information - especially for eePanels2. There is the wiki, a depository of scripts, and the forums. In the forums it has been told several times what the best/easiest way to do what the OP requires is, and Slakah hit the nail on the head. Parent it to your pet's unit frame and then just offset it (can either drag or enter in coordinates) to where you need it to be.

this will solve the issue of getting the frame name ("BT3PetBar", i think) and Seerah speaks the truth...go forth to the wowace forums and you'll find a wealth of eePanels2 info.

I've been pouring over the EEPanel threads and forums, from wiki to wowace, I've come across tidbits of info here and there. Most of it to advanced for me at this point. I've been able to Parent my BT3BarPET (which by the way, I found after agonizing hours is case sensitive). I anchored it the the BT3BarPET also.

The new problem is that the frame does not disappear with the bar. For instance, if I mount (or dismiss pet), the pet bar disappears. The frame does not. However, if I "hide" or "fade out" the pet bar via Bartender, the frame disappears with it. Is this a alpha, strata, something something problem?

thanks in advance,

twitch
