Boss Encounter API

HI Guys

I am new to lua coding and slowly learning everything

I have been going through the wow API on various websites and I wanted to know where do I start if I want to get details on boss encounters for my Addon

For example if I want to know about Boss spells and timers and so on and so forth

If someone could guide me in the right direction I would appreciate it

The combat log event is the basis for most boss mod features. It is sort of complex, and triggers when spells are cast, buffs are gained, etc.
