Looking for a simple Item Tracker

I've tried searching but came up with nothing. All I want is like a simple item icon for any stackable item (Wool Cloth for example) that I can put in a slot on by bars so I can see how much of an item I have without having to open my bags.

I hope this describes what I want, but in case it doesn't I'll elaborate. Using leather as an example.

I'm tired of having to open my bags to see how many Light Leathers I have when I'm farming for them. I want an icon that I can simply put in any of my bars that will display the number of Light Leathers I have. This doesn't seem like it'd be too hard to do, but I know nothing about making mods.
