AH item reminder

Is there an addon that can remind me to check AH for certain item every time I enter AH ? ... or should I go and learn how to script in lua & xml and make one for myself

There was a mod that would add a pull-down menu to the search field at the AH... For the life of me, I can't find it now.

I hardly ever go into the AH to look for specific items often enough to utilize it.
I always just hold ALT and left click an item from my bags when im on the Browse Auctions tab, it just paste it in there.. my most favoritisttststs one of all for AH asside from auctioneer is AuctionFilterPlus v20003-1
Life at the AH without that one would suck... badly.. *cough* very very badly

hmm... thx but i tried that addons and i dont think it's what I'm looking for...

Maybe this will explain it better:
There is an epic staff which is world random drop so it's veeery rare - and i wanna buy it so every time i walk into auction house i want addon to remind me (like popup message in a center of the screen) to not forget to check AH for that item. (Couse i regulary forget it )

Is there an addon which does that?

If such addon does not exist then help me learn how to make one

no response in 2 days - i guess that means such addon does not exist...

I guess some of you guys are good at making addons so you can help me ok?

So I'm kinda newb at programing...
I was doing some tuts about .toc .lua. .xml but almost all of tutorials i found are out of date.

So i guess this addon would be simple - something along these lines -


if player_location switches from non-AH to AH then
print ('Check for the item you wanna buy'); <-- in the middle of the screen

Can anyone help me make such addon? I don't want you to do it for me but to teach me how to do it

I don't believe the AH has its own subzone... You could do a check for whenever the AH frame opens. www.wowwiki.com is your friend if you haven't been there yet.
