I need help with a monitor problem

I have a 27" PJL0547B0244 ViewSonic used for a pc monitor.It started to have bands across the screen flashing when I turn it on. After a day or so it will shut itself back off a few times before it 'warms' up and stays on.If it is still flickering and I open a web page, the whole bottom of the screen is darkened...that goes away if I close the web.Then it progress's the the point that I can't turn it off unless I unplug it.

Can't afford a new one . I have tried with ViewSonic tech support but they are at a loss too....and told me to get it repaired.
