Minion Catastrophe

I installed Minion, yay minion! fed him some cat treats,
and he ate not only the cat treats but my kgpanels folder
as well. It was gone after I ran the updater.

But it not only deleted important folders, it installed
addons I never asked it to: Healbot it installed on it's
own.

BTW My Kgpanels settings were also completely gone,
and we're talking weeks of work, but no worries, I had
everything backed up several times over.

Now it's possible that it did a lot more damage than that,
buti I didn't check, I just deleted my Interface and WTF folders
and dropped in a copy of my backups.

*Btw not a huge deal as I backed up everything first of course, as warned to do by Cairenn.

There's a thread here for incorrect addon detections. Please report it here :

http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=24089

As minion is still technically in Beta then backups of your WTF and your Interface folders should be taken

Your KG panels folder . Was that in the addons folder ? Is it one you make custom changes to ? I think if you right click an addon it will let you ignore updates for it. If not then please log a ticket on the bug tracer site

Someone else must remove the cats. All have iPods." (http://community.livejournal.com/tec...t/2018070.html)
