First Time Install Help Please

I've read the posts and I think I understand what to do .... It still won't work.

I had the Interface and Addons folders in my WOW program file. The Addons folder had 8 or 9 files in it already. Is that correct?

I downloaded the mod to the Addons folder, its the MetaMap mod, and its the only one I downloaded. It will unzip and create a new folder in the Addons file.

What steps am I missing?

That is the correct folder, yes.

What is the file path for the one you installed?

..\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\< what's here? >\< what's here? >\ < what's here? >

That's the problem. You've got subfolder sydrome. It should be:

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\MetaMap\< files >

Ok, we're getting close. Thank you for the help.

When I download the file, what should the address be?

If I DL it there, and then Unzip the files, is it set up or do I have to move the files?

Personally, I find it easiest (and recommend) to download to my desktop, unzip it there and then move the proper folder into the AddOn folder. That way you *don't* end up with sub-folder syndrome. Go through the Installation FAQ here on the site. It's all laid out step by step.
