REMIX: Unsocket all prismatic gems

While leveling alts, the gems we have equipped often need to be unsocketed so they can be combined.

Any chance someone could make an addon to unsocket all the prismatics at once?

Narcissus is good, but the UI takes forever to unsocket them. Same with going gear item by gear item.

Alternatively, an addon that says "unsocket this one to combine for better quality" could also work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Looks like Narcissus might be your best bet. There is no automated process, as they say in that addon, you have to click the button for each socket/unsocket due to the restrictions in place.

Based on the functions available on https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/World_...Item_Socketing The only alternative is to do a slightly different version, but essentially doing the same thing. In theory.

I'll take a quick look at it and see what's possible.

Okay, managed to rig up a gem display window showing bag counts, and socketed counts for each gem. It then colours the border based on how close you are to *upgrading* the gem. Of course I totally forgot about the possibility of displaying a total count front and center until now, so will add that when the server comes back up.

Server went down while testing, so not fully tested yet, when I was testing changes to the item count using ITEM_COUNT_CHANGED event while upgrading the gem, it seemed to only change the numbers for the newly added gem, but not the old gem. Hopefully the changes I did since then will rectify that and if all else fails, it does a re-count when you open the frame anyway. I created a minimap button so the frame could be closed and opened when needed.

Have a few more things that could be useful.

You still have to do the grunt work, but you can see which piece of item will have the gem ( chest in top leftcount, legs in top right count, bags in bottom right count )

Edit: Well, some of the functionality isn't consistent, so may have to do some things a different way.

Looks like everything is working as I expected. Just need to make it user friendly and see if I can make the minimap button alert you to an upgrade opportunity.

And then a quick run through of regular play to see how it all works together.

Seems to be working well. Does it also track ring, trinket, and neck gems? I memorized the spots on the square that go with the other gear pieces, but I wasn't sure if it was counting those as well.

Do those Upgradable Prismatic Gems go in them as well ? My level 30 something on the remix only has them on the chest and legs.

Oh .. just noticed on wowhead that they are on those other slots.

Will have to rethink how to display that information but I will work on it pronto.
