Im having a problem with the WoWinterface

Ok so i downloaded the interface and i have the Cartographer_quest info and map notes fan update but i don't have the add on button when i go to the character select screen.. can anyone tell me what im doing wrong or if theres a step i missed

which interface did you download? and when you unzipped the folder did you check to make sure that it is not a container for another bunch of folders?

/interface/addons/folder/folder/folder with files and maybe more folders?
vs
/interface/addons/folder/folder with files and maybe more folders?

The previous will not work, only the former...

Yeah make sure you install the addons correctly. Follow what johnathon said .. also take a look at this FAQ for more info.

Also in order for Cart_Quest Info to work you will need Cartographer. Link is on the Carto_Quest addon page. It leads to CurseGaming just so you know. The version of Carto here is out of date.

Once you install Cartographer Map Notes is not really needed as Cartographer can do the same thing.

If your looking for a good questing add-on I suggest trying either

QuestHelper or Carbonite Quest.

i downloaded the WoWInterface UI Manager v0.210 and then i put the addons i want in my favorites and then from the manager i press install new is there somthing im not doing right?

Oh ya btw i have vista does that make a difference?

What path are you installing to? With the last patch, you should have gotten a prompt from WoW asking if you wanted to move your WoW directory to C:\Public\Games or something.
