Fog Of War disappeared! help

The only thing I have changed is to install the Zygor leveling guide. Since then, I've noticed that my FOW is no longer on my map. I have tried disabling the Zygor addon, but it didn't change anything so I don't think it's the cause. I have looked in my options, but I cannot find any setting for the FOW. I have made sure the "Show unexplored areas" is UNchecked on my map. I have seen where there can be a .var file that needs to be changed/deleted or something. I'm guessing this is what I'll have to do, can anyone tell me how to do it?

EDIT: I just tried disabling ALL of my addons except for Carbonite and my FOW is still gone.

Right click your minimized map, then "Transparency", and see what the "Unexplored Transparency" slider is set at.

it's set to 0.34. I also tried moving it around, but nothing changed.

I've had this happen on a few chars, my copied one most of all on a clean client. No addons loaded.

Frankly, I'm shocked that I remembered it. I was posting from my Blackberry while I was at work and I usually can't remember that kind of stuff unless I'm in "hands-on" mode with Carbonite or anything else for that matter. So don't feel bad!

I don't seem to have that option. I have looked under both the Map and Map Minimap sections but I see nothing that mentions "unexplored areas" in any form. I have included screen shots of my Map Minimap screen.

EDIT: Also, I should mention, that this has happened over ALL of my chars (even chars I rarely play). So im guessing that it's a global setting that is messed up.

I think what voodoodad meant was... right click the Carbonite map, click "Show..." and uncheck the box for "Show unexplored areas".

I have already checked the "show" and have confirmed that the setting is UNchecked, so that's not causing the problem.

Ah, sorry; must've missed that part of your original message.

Hmm, only other solution I can think of off the top of my head is making sure you've zoomed out far enough. The unexplored shading doesn't appear on the detailed version of the Carbonite map, only the zoomed-out, landscape map.

Just for the sake of completeness, check your Exploration achievements and see if the Barrens is checked off as already explored.

I vaguely remember something another user had found. You mentioned Zygors guides. Check Zygors options, there should be a setting to show/hide the unexplored and it conflicts with pretty much every other map addon the same way.

ie Too many addons trying to control the same function.

That is very possible, I will take a look at that.. however, I have also tried disabling all addons except for Cartographer and they FOW was still not there. I then disabled Cart (so I had no addons) and the normal FOW was displayed.

EDIT: THANK YOU!!!! That was it. Ok, so for future reference, here's how you get to it. Right click the Options button on the Zygor window (this will open the configuration window that contains most of your addons). Click the + next to the Zygor Guides Viewer, Select Waypoints. Click the Down arrow (in the lower right hand corner of the window) one time. UNcheck "Reveal Map". Bingo... so again, Thank You Vis.
