perl v. x-perl

hi,

i've been mostly using perl for a while now, but i've been curious about x-perl.
i have tried it a few times, but get hopefully lost.
so besides /cry /help for x-perl, i'm just curious as to what are the major differences/pros/cons of perl and x-perl.
