It's a pitty. I really liked the look and feel of the "Minion" updater (similar to the old Curse updater), and was going to recommend it to some friends of mine as an alternative to the bloated Twitch.
Unfortunately, this makes it unreliable, especially for those less "technical".
Guess i'll keep updating manually!
