As for your concerns about saving hard drive space and making sure files aren't fragmented—that is nothing but OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder). Typically, only large files become fragmented and that just isn't likely with WoW addons. The file sizes of these addons are quite small and it is simply irrational to be concerned about the hard drive space they are occupying.
