I know this is an old thread, but its the only one i have seen about this. i was having this problem for a long time and i finally fixed it. like the previous post i had moved my game dir to another drive. minion was crashing on attempting to find it. heres how i fixed it
created world of warcraft folder in c:\program files then copied my interface folder into it. i canceled it after a few addons were copied over and then ran minion. it found them and allowed me in the options to change it to my correct wow folder on d: then i deleted c:\program files\world of warcraft and minion works!
