an Event when gear change?

Is there an event sent to the client when I use an item in my inventory and my it is now equipped?

what i am trying to do is make sure everytime the shield is removed, i want to put it in it's...

would SendChatMessage(msg, "CHANNEL", "ORCISH", "friend1"); achieve this?

Question Can we SendChatMessage() to chat channels?

Is there anyway to SendChatMessage() to chat channels instead of just SAY WHISPER PARTY etc.
