Chat messages pop up all over screen
 

Been wondering a long time now. Chat messages since.. uuhh some patches ago made it so all messages near me pop up on my screen even if I can't see the character

Anyone know if it's possible to get the old behavior back when it was only shown when the character was seen?

Go to interface>social and uncheck "chat bubbles"

Sorry for not being clear enough. Thinking in circles heh... I wanted the old behavior back where the bubble was only shown when the character was seen.

I have experienced a similar issue. The only thing I've found that fixes it is to disable chat bubbles altogether. Post-patch, I don't believe you can get the old, more efficient behavior back.

I guess I just hadn't been paying that much attention to the bubbles appearing even when the char isn't on screen. Great, now THATS gonna annoy me! :rolleyes:
