WoWI's "The Burning Crusade Classic" Beta invites for our active AddOn Authors!
 

As you can always count on, we’re taking care of you! We’re starting to submit author accounts to Blizzard for The Burning Crusade Classic™ Beta so that you can make sure your AddOns will be ready when it goes live.

This is not a contest! If you are an AddOn author that hosts with us and you have been keeping your AddOns current, you are eligible for a key!

As with the Legion™ beta, Blizzard will be enabling accounts directly. That means that we will have to ask you for your battlet.net email address*, which we will then send to Blizzard and they will flag your account at their discretion. When they flag your account, they will send you an email giving you information letting you know. Alternately, you can watch for the flag on your account page on the Blizzard site. We'll post the number ranges when we have sent the list to Blizzard.

Once you've got your addons ready for testing by other beta participants, upload to our new The Burning Crusade Classic download category.

Rules:

• You must have an active World of Warcraft account.
• You must be an addon author with one or more files on the site that are current to 9.0.x or 1.13.6+ (Compilations & "Hello world" or its equivalent do not count).
• Do not upload addons that are not your own. Anyone caught uploading someone else's work will be banned from the site. All AddOns submitted are manually checked.
• Blizzard and WoWInterface reserve the right to deny anyone access.
• Account and addon(s) must be registered before March 23rd 2021.

This may not be the place to ask, but has there been any rumors of making a single addon be up to date on multiple clients, now that a third one is coming online? I have a few addons that work in retail and classic that I intend to make work in BC. I've had an addon sit on the same interface number for 7 years so I'm not averse to telling people to load out of date addons, but it'd be nice to have an addon current in the clients it was written to work in.

Since classic started I'm a new author and had unfortunately only been posting my addons on one website, I've moved them here recently and hope I can still be considered. Thank you Cairenn.

I've heard that Classic BC is going to be a cut down Shadowlands Client and since I'm not on that game it will be nice to get ahead of any changes needed for my addons on the beta.

I just got my beta invite, the old fashioned way, luck of the draw. I should dust off my XP and rep bars to see if they work with Classic/BC.

Are Blizzard still offering access? I was in the Apr 14th batch but haven't heard anything or seen changes on my battle.net client. Either way thanks for providing the opportunity!

Same here :/ Odd, because Blizz also started to give beta keys to streamers for theirs viewers ..

Wondering the same thing as well, as I kinda hoped there would be another batch kicking off last night.

@Cairenn Is there any more batches planned or is the batches over with for the time being?

To answer everyone's questions - we've submitted what we've submitted, whether Blizzard chooses to flag your account is out of our hands. Sorry we can't help more.

For those that haven't got in yet but had their numbers put forward .. make sure you restart the client. I did this a week after my name was put forward and it appeared but only after I restarted/logged out of the client, usually it is left running on my computer as a background process.

My info was submitted on the 14th & I just got beta access today.

I signed up for the WoTLK beta version at blizzard when I saw I could, got invited a few days ago, already started testing addons. Seems invites are very random. So just keep hoping and sign up at blizz.

I got a beta invite as well, but Blizzard havent yet opened up for addons. So if you got a way to enable addons, please let us know :-)

Addons are enabled. I've been testing a few myself and making small changes to get some to work with wrath.

DF PTR is up so not a big deal; but would still like the opportunity to see the new systems and integrate my addons with what i can't see on PTR, i.e. the actual new content etc.

Disappointing their social platform communicator keeps dropping the ball on addon authors last couple xpacs.
