Hi all. We know everyone is getting excited about the information that will be revealed about Mists of Pandaria after March 19th, so we thought we’d give you something to occupy your time this week while Cairenn is away at the press conference. We have 20 Diablo III beta keys up for grabs! So, starting on March 12th, we're going to have a treasure hunt.

First clue has been posted!
Second clue has been posted!
Third clue has been posted!
Fourth & last clue has been posted!

I think it's mainly because of the time.

Middle European Winter Time (MEWT) = GMT+1

10pm + 7 is kind of early .. but someone has to suffer ;)

For non-US you can look the date and time on wolframalpha and it will tell you the time relative to your location (based on IP). Also, I know it's pointless to look at the clocks for each day, considering the clues are to be given out at the same time each day, but it shows the exact time until that happens in hours, minutes, seconds, for us geeks. :P

• Monday 12. March at 10pm CST
• Tuesday 13. March at 10pm CST
• Wednesday 14. March at 10pm CST
• Thursday 15. March at 10pm CST

For me it's indeed early, I guess I can take a peak at the clue before work or university. :P

By the way, does the treasure chests spawn at the first clue giveaway, or do all chests spawn when the first clue is posted? I took a peak around, couldn't find any chests right now, so I guess they aren't placed on the site yet.

It's beeing held in 4am GMT, that's all.

Read the contest, the time doesnt matter, you have 24hrs to find the first treasure chest to be included in the first drawning. First clue is turned on today at 10pm cst (maybe even earlier :) ) and we dont drawn names until 24hrs after that at Tuesday at 10pm and you dont need to be around for that since we will send you the key via PM.

So just find the clue every day you're up and you'll make the drawing just fine. So you have from 4am tonight till the next day at 4am to find the first clue in GMT (going by what you said the time would be).

You are given 24hrs to find the clue so it doesn't matter what time it starts.

(Monday 10pm PST clue given), (Tuesday 10pm Names drawn, next clue given), (Wednesday 10pm Names drawn, next clue given)... etc. As explained on the contest page. Each time you have 24hrs in between drawings to find the treasure chest.

I read this as the first 5 to solve it, that's probably what mislead me.

so...just find - click treasure chests then hope for luck :P

Browse the website until you find a page with a treasure chest on it, click the treasure chest to see if its the one with the treasure in it. If not, keep browsing.
You can check the clue to get a hint where to browse.

I don't intend to give away hints, but .. do we always have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the concerning page, or will the treasure chest be placed on random positions throughout the page?

The treasure is always buried or sunken :)

I found one of the chests and it said I was entered into the drawing. That means I have a chance to win right? or am I reading this wrong

Tip: We don’t want you guys to be bored, so we’re going to throw in a twist. There may be multiple chests posted on the site, but not all of them are going to be the correct one for that day’s clue. Or it may be a correct answer, but not the correct answer. If it isn’t the correct one, you’ll get a friendly little message telling you to keep looking.

I'm just checking because I've lost every contest for a key so far and want to make sure I'm doing this right. Sorry if I sound like an idiot.

If you have a green check mark next to the question on the treasure hunt page that will confirm you found it too. However the message when you find would should say you've been entered.

:confused: Thats weird. When I first went to check to see what the clue was there was already a green check there. I thought the checks appeared every time a clue was revealed. Hmmmmm Interesting.

i dont know whether i found the right one or not i cliked on a few and it tells me that its wrong but i clicked on one specific one and it just takes me to the treasure hunt details but doesnt tell me that ive been entered into anything and ive got the green tick.

the one that brought u to the contest details, did it have a green arrow beside day 1? if so, u are registered. IF all the days have a red 'X' then you are not registered.

i clicked a chest and it directed me back to the main clue page like the first one did but i did not get the green check and it did not tell me it was wrong like the wrong ones do? i want to make sure i am entered?

If you don't have a green check on the new clue then you haven't found it. Most likely you found the first chest. ;)

no it was for the 2nd clue already knew the first definately an error

It's worked for thousands of others (they have the 2nd clue). You may want to check your cache, browser ad block or something. You are only listed as finding the 1st clue.

clicked the wrong chest and it says something about arrr no treasure. went to the correct chest click it and it takes me to the contest/clue page with no message and still no completion check

PM me the link of the page your trying to click the treasure. What you discribe is what happens when you click on a chest you've already gotten. You have the first chest but not the 2nd one so thats why I think you're clicking on the wrong one.

:eek: Its coming down to the wire now. So far I've found all the Treasure Chests and haven't won squat yet. Hopefully my luck is better on this turn. I really want a Beta Key...bad. I've been waiting a very long time to play Diablo again and from what I've seen the game looks great. Good Luck to everyone and God willing ya'll will wish me the same.:D

I would love to know how many users we are competing against. But thank you for not making us jump through hoops to stand a chance. Hope the last clue gives us a challenge - no offense but it's been easy to find the chests so far. :p

finally got the 2nd one to work after i got the 3rd not sure what happened but screwed my chances in that second drawing :(

The first two went smooth as a baby ham but this one is hard imo :(
It's got to be broken for me, i've checked every corner of the site but nothing....
I've found a total of four chests on the site, 2 of them for the first two clues, another that leads to the contest info and the fourth wich contains no treasure :/
