Tomine 12-01-10 06:16 PM

My name derives from the illustrator Adrian Tomine. It is pronounced "Toh-mee-nay", though I won't go as far as to guess the name's place of origin - I am unsure as to whether it is Korean, Japanese or of any other asian nation.

It was brought to my attention that Morten Harkett, the lead singer of the 80's band a-ha ("Take On Me"), has a daughter, famous overseas for her singing/songwriting, who likes to be referred to by her middle name - Tomine. It is Danish, and is pronounced "Toh-meen", which turns out to be my preferred pronunciation. :)

In my old raiding guild, I was commonly called Tommy.

Nice formula for you. It works well with your names. Unfortunately for me the same formula = Garsar or Sargar. Both of which are... Blah, to say the least.:)

I drove 18wheelers for 4 yrs or so.

"break one nine, can I get a radio check?"

"Sorry, don't take checks, cash only"

"aw hell driver, just tell me if the dang thing's workin"

"Its not. no one is hearing a word you say"

"Well damn. ok"

Typical smartassed back-n-forth huckstering on the CB radio, that many drivers would partake in.. myself included. :)

My name comes from my attempt to make an authentic sounding night elf name for my wow character in vanilla wow.

I thought, well sylvan means something green and natural, and i noticed that the town names had "aar" at the end of them.

Since sylvan was taken, i went with Sylvanaar.

Ironically, my attempt at an authentic sounding name met The Burning Crusade, and now it looks like I named myself after a town.

Kodewulf 12-17-10 02:54 PM

I've had Kodewulf since around 2000. Decided in the wee hours of the morning one day that I need a new nick and a domain that goes with that. And seeing as I was trying to change my career path from IT support to development I wanted something that showed the "coding" part. Hence the "Kode" part, and at that time I was using this wallpaper: http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=wyte...set=48#/d1cwxy

And "Kodewulf" was born.

Well this one is a mirror image.. and all.. not the most flashy.. but I also use Tibbles... which I got in the most dorkiest way.. my favorite star trek episode the trouble with tribbles... add in lack of sleep and partying and well I missed pronounced and it stuck. I also use Tissaboo as my main use to be Mortissa and an ud rogue hence Boo
