The next release won't whisper yourself. Forgot to add a check for that since I test it with TotemTimers enabled most of the times. Also you will be able to disable whispers if you send the totem configuration to a chat channel.

1) I don't see any benefit in that. If you do not want your totems to change every time, the best thing would be to assign the totems the timer buttons by rightclicking (just assigning) or middleclicking (assigning and casting) them.

TotemTimers has a bug at the moment and does not set the spells assigned by RaidTotems to its timer buttons.
Additionally you may get an error when RTT tries to whisper the totem configuration to someone.

Maybe it's more missing documentation than a bug.
The recast option changes the assigned totem to the last cast out of combat.
In combat it saves the name of the last cast totem and changes the assigned totem to that as soon as combat ends. This last part is not documented in the option's tooltip. I'll make that part optional....

You must have assigned a totem to each of the four timer buttons, otherwise TT should complain which element is missing its assigned spell.
That means you must have all four elements available, but you do not have to have all totems ingame.

Why do you change the order of your totems?
To assign a totem to a timer button just rightclick it.
Anyway there is no need for bugfixes of TT8.1.
The next patch will most likely come out next week and break TT8.1 anyway, so you will have to use the TT9.0 Beta which is a complete rewrite.

Settings are saved per character so it shouldn't be a problem to switch between a low and high level character even if there are errors with the low lvl one.
