I would like to second the idea that Eavesdrop could slot into the chat windows.
Also when talking about boss fights I keep trying to shift click logs in Eaves drop to tell my friend what hit me / what i did.
To go along with this feature would be a format options.
IE defualt would be "%t : %d".
So shift clicking an entry on...
