Tason for the split was to reduce download size. with each new expansion comes new maps adding to the size of Atlas. and as most updates are for current content it was decided to split Atlas so you only need to download current content and not all the old content aswell.

Old. There's something to be said for simplicity -- I can glance at any of those "old" icons and know what class is being depicted!
This is true sometimes less is more, unless you like things shiny and new. Also after while you get used to the new icons they are in the same order as the original ones.

If your comfortable editing lua files open up MinimapIcon.lua (located in Interface\AddOns\WIM\Moduels folder) in your favourite text editor (I use Notepad++) then search for

So after a lot of troubleshooting as to why party chat wouldn't show for me, I have narrowed it down to WIM. Is anyone aware of what conflict WIM might be having that would make it so I can't see party chat?

the good news is it is no longer throwing lua errors, but the blobs are not showing up on the carbonite map, i think it's a carbonite issue. it may have something to do with the fact quests show up as dots instead of blobs
