Unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the case. I am still experiencing the same multiple button pushes before mounting, even after using the beta found on CurseForge.
Someone (maybe it was you) just created a ticket with the same problem.

GoGoMount is not 100% functional with the new patch yet.

Here's what you can do.
Run GemHelper on your level 90 toon with jewel crafting to have GemHelper cache the cuts you have.
Then log onto your lower level toon and bring up GemHelper again. Select your level 90 toon from the GemHelper UI.
At this point, you can now see the gems your jewel crafter can cut, but the status show...

Looks like Palidans might be getting another shield through a talent for themselves (or give to others with Becon of Light).
This just hit the PTR - spellid 145760 (talent) grants spellid 145766 (shield).
Just something to watch for now and possibly add to ShieldBars if it goes live.

Seems like that short fix also fixed a 2nd problem I noticed.
Previously if the same shield was applied twice (priest healing shield) Sheild Bars would only show the bar for the first shield applied and would then show the 2nd shield once the first expired. Now both shields are shown. :)

Spells that re-apply fire an event - COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED / SPELL_AURA_REFRESH which is what Shield Bars is looking for. Soul Leech does not fire this event when refreshing.
Most likely because it is not just refreshing itself, more of a applying new with new shield absorb value....

I've added a few shield spells to the mod that don't exist but still need to test them.
For your Soul Leech spell, I've noticed a couple things.
First, "duration" is lower case, your line shows "Duration".
Second, you're missing the "tip" value which I believe should be "tip = 1".
Here's how I've added it but haven't test...

GoGoMount does not put any text to the /say channel at all.
If something is showing up when using GoGoMount that others can see then you've got another addon doing...

The automatic summoning of a mount from a druid form is an option that can be disabled in GoGoMount's options (Druid section). Disabling the option will take you out of travel form to caster form and not summon a mount.
This same option however would require you to click your GoGoMount butt...

In 4.3 Blizzard added a new API call IsSubmerged() but I've not found any useful documentation for it yet. Testing shows that it responds the same as IsSwimming() meaning there's no difference if you're under water or on the water surface.

Sandstone drake got added, Abyssal Seahorse was reported as requiring Artisan skill on beta and the spectral mounts were a mistake on my part.
