Just letting you know that there is an interaction between GRAIL and CARBONITE BETA that causes the Quest Watch list to disappear. This has now been reported to both addon's support. I have not seen anything posted to "Grail support" for this issue, other than this message here. I would find it very interesting to know what is h...

You might want to try using the slash command "/grail events" which makes it so Grail delays certain event processing until out of combat. This seems to help some machines that cannot handle the processing fast enough.

Metamap problems
Posted By: Nimhfree
1. Without MetaMap I normally have my map in the small mode so I can have it open and still see what is happening around me. When I load MetaMap in this state, the UI for MetaMap is all messed up with buttons no longer on the map. Also, it is not as large as it would be had I left the world map to be full screen. And the smaller...

I *believe* Wholly comes up with a hover/tool tip when you hover over the name of a quest in your quest log... if not, I need to figure out what's doing this. *sometimes* - not all the time, and I can't find a pattern - the tooltip gets attached to the mouse pointer, and doesn't go away. I can dismiss the quest log pane, hit escap...

Re: Re: Re: TomTom Waypoints & Carbonite
Posted By: Nimhfree
From what I can tell based on observed behavior, Carbonite is coded to interpret TomTom Waypoint Creation into its own waypoint system (it translates "TomTom.AddMFWaypoint" calls), but not to respond with simulation of subsequent TomTom functionality for any other waypoint interaction. The relevant Wholly code that seems to invoke p...

Re: TomTom Waypoints & Carbonite

Carbonite has an option to emulate TomTom by accepting /way waypoint creation, but does not react in the same fashion as TomTom when waypoints are reached or cleared. As a result, if I have Wholly create waypoints for quests, they continue to be loaded whenever I log in or reload my interface. The only solution I've found for thi...

Re: Help

I am fairly new to using add-ons, so please forgive me if this is a silly question... I have downloaded Grail, tomtom, and Wholly and they all are in my add-on folder on my hard drive (wow folder-interface-addons). When I boot up wow I can see the add-on for tomtom and it looks fine. I can see Wholly, but it says "dependency missi...

Grail was meant to be able to be extended with regard to the information it supplies. For example, two loadable addons were added to provide reputation information as well as achievement information. These were not originally part of the Grail database. So, yes, it should be doable. If there is other data out there that specifi...

After I'm done with what I'm doing on this toon, I'll re-enable and try other toons, other areas, and other swaps. I'm willing to help isolate, but I want to get some fun in tonight also. :D As I have not been able to reproduce this issue on my own, I would imagine it has to do with interaction with some other addons you are using...

I was in Shattrath. When I started moving around to collect the dailies to do, my entire WoW would freeze - for longer and longer. First time was about 10 seconds, next was a bit longer -- not sure exactly, cause I was counting in my head, but approximately. I was on the Terrace of Light, and every time I passed one of the 'bridges',...

Re: Error found on first time use

I hate to make a problem-report be the first comment on a page. I downloaded Grail (and Wholly) yesterday, and launched WoW for the first time with them installed today. I got this error message on both the first and second toon I logged in with: Grail found _AllEvaluateTrue quest ID O24992 with unknown code O Grail found _AllEva...

I just downloaded Wholly (and Grail) last night, and launched for the first time today. On the second toon that I logged in, I spent some time poking around at how it works (mentioning this because it might have been loading stuff). I was in Shattrath. When I started moving around to collect the dailies to do, my entire WoW would...

I think I have figured out what is happening here. Sounds like you have the right of it, and thanks for spending so much of your time looking into this. Carbonite was a pretty heroic effort at making one monolithic seamless map, but I guess it's time to ask myself what it's really doing that I can't live without... I can probably...

Hiya. I was wondering if it were possible to make this "smart" depending on things like profession, or even excluding breadcrumb quests completely if they are unobtainable due to moving father on in the chain, in the same way that it is able to distinguish between horde/alliance. For example, I have a tailor/alchemist, yet the que...

I think I have figured out what is happening here. Basically whoever wrote Carbonite has done something really idiotic from a non-Carbonite point of view. What is happening, is Carbonite is changing the world map through a number of maps. And Carbonite is doing this all the time. When I am sitting idle in Stormwind it happens a l...

Re: double wide window testing
Posted By: Nimhfree
Selecting the double-wide window opens it up nicely and allows you to choose continent and zone. Nice feature. On first test, after closing Wholly and reopening it, only the single window opened and it was empty. Fixed by deselecting double-wide window. Could then re-select it normally. This sounds very odd. I can explain why the...

Finally decided how to deal with distance callbacks
Posted By: Nimhfree
Sorry to dredge this up from November 30th, but I finally decided to tackle the issue I was having with having to manually create the defaults for the menus when I set distance callbacks. Instead of implementing distance callbacks I "hooked" TomTom:RemoveWaypoint() such that it does my internal work and then does its own work. Fo...

Yes but this is a major change for anyone who wants to override my callbacks, so its not backwards compatible, and it would require the developer to put a noop every time they want to override a callback, and that's not something I'm willing to do. Sorry to get back to you so late. I understand this. The only really convenient...

Best way to get notified about waypoint removal
Posted By: Nimhfree
I have an addon that creates a waypoint using uid = AddMFWaypoint() and I would like to know the best way to be informed when uid is being removed by TomTom within the callback for distance detection. In brief code inspection it looks like if I provide my own callback in the options to the AddMFWaypoint call, I would need to provide...

Trouble with Firelands waypoint
Posted By: Nimhfree
From Hyjal I use the following code to make a waypoint in Firelands. /script TomTom:AddMFWaypoint(795,0,0.4304,0.8058,{title = 'Skylord Omnuron' }) The return value gives me a table with the first four values (the fifth that I thought would be there is not for some reason). I do not get an arrow pointing me anywhere. What wou...
