SoulSort not working correctly

I have just installed SoulSort on my classic WoW and when I go to use the slash commands to enter the options screen or to set the max shards to 4 WoW classic is giving me the "type /help to see a list of options" message and cannot make any changes or open the options screen. I have no idea why because it works on my other comut...

I am wanting to use this addon however I am not seeing any minimap button to access the config section. I have read the readme file and everything listed on the download page here and see nothing about the correct slash command to access the options.
