About the minimap boundries, you could look into the addon called NCPScan overlay. That works fine with overlays on map and minimap.

I have DE key-bound to one of my keys (as I use it a lot) and it does nothing. Also if I try to use the your DE button same thing. Nothing happens.

Could you consider option to hide out of combat.
Also to hide when in combat, but mounted: I am thinking Argent tournaments, when you mount a fight with Lance.
No biggie, but still would be less intrusive.
