 Auto-Destroy not working?

When I manually click "Destroy all crap", it works fine. Also, one night, the auto destroy feature worked fine. Every other attempt (about 3 or 4) it has done nothing at all. I'm confused.
I have made parameters with grey items only and even have a list of blacklisted items. Nothing automated happens though.
