mmm, thanks. I managed to get by doing
/script for i=34000,34500 do GameTooltip:SetHyperlink("item:"..i) end
For IDs 0-30500 or so... just going up by 500 increments every click via macro. Got many things.

Is there a script/or a command that you can implement in LootLink that will add all the items in your lootlink database to the item cache at once? Blizzard seems to have removed the "disconnect" part of trying to link an invalid item, therefore it should just put the items in the cache that it can.
