Good news!
I spoke with blizzard via email. They actually merged the GetPackageInfo with another function GetInboxItem. I can scan the items in a mail package that way.

Trying to pinpoint the taint issue that occurs with the mod when your in combat and have the map opened. It seems to be this mod that does it as I installed Bagnon and it hasn't done it. I switched back to baudbag to see if I can track the source.
It may be a bug on Blizzard end.

Baud Bag sometimes causes a taint on the WorldMap or during a quest item pickup. I'm using the default Blizzard UI.
This is the closest I've come to this taint. If you follow the steps in some of them listed in this post. You can reproduce the taint.
Again note: I'm using the default Blizzard Frames.
