I have tried to limit how much traffic is caused, but for some features, a lot of traffic is necessary, especially when someone logs on. If the traffic is getting to be too much, or causing lag for you, there is an option to disable it.

Hmm, that's strange. If you go into the options, in the lower left corner is a "Defaults" button. Click that, then choose "These Settings" and all the text will be back, then just click Ok.

Displaying the correct quest progress in the party tooltip has always been an issue and I think I need to really work on that system.
If you deleted your WTF folder then that is why your History and Abandon tabs are gone, all that information is stored under the WTF folder.
