chat window and party frames

Its really hard to read on chat window without any background. I tried to set color black on it but nothing happens. so, how you make chat window to be dark and able to read easier?
Other thing, as for party frame, can't see if you are on pvp or pve while in party. Also Readycheck did not display neither. Raid does display that,...

EDIT update:
tidythreat reset dont work... still pop up errors... and did /script that you mentioned... it showed "nil nil nil"
Now what?
