I'm having the same issues. After the switch, if you go into the options menu, just click the toggle bar to control the border size and it reverts to normal.

Using a Rogue as an example, is there any way to make Bar1 show his normal combat bar, but switch when he goes into stealth? The only workaround I've been able to achieve is setting the Stealth bar to another bar and hiding that bar. It causes me to lose many action buttons.
