I went ahead and tested this today, enchanting some crappy offspec gloves in my bank (Handgrips of the Savage Emissary in this case.) It works just like I expected: Use a Spell Cooldown bar, and for the name of the buff/debuff to time, type in the name of the enchanted item (so Handgrips of the Savage Emissary for me.)
