I finally tracked down the addon causing my spam of CRF taint... and it's surprisingly ReforgeLite. I'd think that addon wouldn't even be active if you aren't at a reforger. :(
Unfortunately it's very easy to taint the Blizzard raid frames. Even glancing in their general direction can cause huge taint issues.

It should only do that if you switch to the DPS/Tank layout.

Probably not many have, it's a really old game at this point (80's). The Fallout series is more widely known, and is the semi-spiritual successor to Wasteland (at least Fallout 1 and 2).
