Well... it appears that I am still doing battle with the taint demons and the pet bar. So, it doesn't look like I'm going to get the update out today as I had hoped. I've come to the conclusion that it is not possible to manage the built in Blizzard pet bar and avoid taint at the same time, so I'm going to have to code my own pet bar...
