SanUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 9.2.0.2
by: Pyrates [More]

This is an interface for the raiding druid, integrating all specs (other classes work with a bit more configuration). Find the most recent development version on github.

After your first login

  • You will asked if you want to import the WeakAuras of SanUI. It's save to say yes here. A reload will follow.
  • Configure tukui using the following commands:
    • "/tukui move" (move things around)
    • "/tukui config". To get the intended functionality of SanUI, do the following:
      • Disable auras, unit frames, party frames, raid frames
      • Enable action bars, enable "bottom right bar" and "right bar #1", but disable "bottom left bar" and "right bar #2", edit the settings for "bar #3" to 6 buttons per row and 6 buttons total
Other settings might work or not and look good or not.
    • "/tukui dt" (configure data texts on the side panels)
  • Click the 'a' besides the minimap, a menu will appear. You can switch Modes there. Access to different addon configurations can be configured in SanUI/profiles.lua.

More on Usage
  • SimpleAuraFilter let's you reclaim your buff area by filtering. Simply shift-rightclick any buff you don't want to see anymore. It will be cancelled in this process, but never again show up, even if you have it. Note that there different profiles for Healer, Chicken, Bear and Cat mode, which have to be configured separately (just activate the right mode and go nuts shift-rightclicking). To make some buffs reappear, run "/sanui buffs".
  • About Config\profiles.lua: Supports user-made modes. A mode is a state of the UI consisting of several profiles for different addons or parts of the UI. It's commented well, so read there (and I'll help via forums). Important: If you're not a druid, you probably want to edit this. If you need help, let me know though the forum.

FAQ
  • Q: Nothing works. What could be happening?
  • --> A: You'll need to download and install Tukui yourself.
  • Q: Is this a complete interface for a raider?
  • --> A: Probably not. You might at least want a boss mod, clique/clicked, and bugsack/buggrabber. Maybe a Damage Meter (I use Details).
  • Q: I accidentally mucked with the weakauras from SanUI. How do I get them back?
  • --> A: Type "/sanui addweakauras" ingame to retrigger the import dialog.

I've tried with a blank install again, but could not discern any errors besides the talking head frame thingy.

That being said, I've cut a new release, which also includes an updated WeakAuras2, so you should try that.

That talking head error is only being enabled when I enable ouf hank addon.
If I re'enable it it appears on the bug list, disabled it's gone. Logged into a druid on a fresh install.

Re: WeakAuras

Waaa that talking head frame, I hate it so much and it brings so much pain to disable it.... are you running other addons besides what comes with SanUI?

That being said, I fixed that error in the development version of SanUI. Seems I've forgotten about it and should have cut a release. Mind trying it out? Got to https://github.com/SanUI/SanUI, click on the green button that says "code" and then select "download zip". The folders inside "SanUI-master" need to go into the addons folder.

That weak auras error is very untelling. What were you doing when it appeared? What are the other ones? What class are you playing?

Thanks for the report, btw.

Well, since the unit frames aren't provided by tukui, that wouldn't have helped anyways

You can edit oUF_hank/config.lua and change "AdditionalPower = false," to "AdditionalPower = true,".

Still poping up on loading but I don't see problems coming from it.

Is it because I had to download Tekui myself since it doesn't appear on installation ?

Thanks for your time anyway man

Edit : Ok so I have reset Tukui and now I don't have those messages anymore

Huh, I basically don't do pvp, but when I did some time ago I did not notice any problems with some of the more common addons. if there are, let me know, I'll have a look

THAT error is totally weird, no idea how that came to pass.

I mean, it's also totally weird that I don't have that chat warning. Maybe some addon of mine is eating it?

Nevertheless, I've pushed fixes, please try the latest github

First of all, you seem to be using the github version. That's fine, but always a tad of a risk, because that's where I'm working on things. On the other hand, it gives me the chance to fix things quickly and have you try them out again

Main point: I've changed some things, in particular location and anchoring of the cooldown bar. The screenshots are out of date, and moving it by yourself isn't really supported by SanUI. Tell you something, let's get rid of the errors and if you need to move that bar around yourself, we'll figure something out afterwards.

Other point: If you want more buttons (which I did, which is why I changed things around) try enabling the MultiBarBoottomRight bar and configure Tukui for 8 buttons in 1 row for bar3.

So, those two are probably the result of other code interfering with mine. E.g. I did not realize one could disable shadows in tukui itself, which makes one of those errors. They should be fixed on github.

I can kinda see where this is coming from, but I'm not sure I should fix this, since moving coolline by yourself isn't supported anyways. As I said, if you want to anyways, I'll tell you which part of the code to touch to make it possible, but let's try without first.
Thanks for your help. And if using this version helps you out, well I'll keep using it. It's no major problems.

I do a lot of pvp (rbg, arenas), any advices for addons installation or if some will not go well with your ui ?

Error message

Hey there ! Thanks for your incredible interface compilation.

I'm having those error messages when logging.
Plus I always get the cooldown timer bar rest to a location that is attached to the forms bar. When I put it where it should be, the third error message appears.

This makes me think you did it wrong. Check out this commit, this is what you should try: https://github.com/SanUI/SanUI/commi...fdd2a65b69ea6d

I was able to follow the GitHub updates and doing so fixed that issue for me!
Awesome

I'm getting up to speed with Tukui as it's been since MoP since I last used it and since have used other UI's and ElvUI. But this is a bit puzzling. I'm sure you know how to change this.

https://imgur.com/a/rglq6zC

A way to change this to be readable lol?
Uh no, that's not something that my code should touch, and it looks totally different to me. Actually, you've got a pretty special dialog there, does that happen with all dialog boxes? If you can find a more common one I'd have a look how that looks for me, and what setting of tukui might influence it. There are theming and texture options of tukui that you might just try (guess textures don't matter here though).

But looking closer I see the original dialog box there, and something blackish transparently above that. Odd... try just tukui itself and see if the issue persists. Failing that, type "/fstack" in the chat, hit enter, move the mouse over the offending black area and send me a screenshot, I'll try to see something Hit "/fstack" again to remove all that stuff btw.
