Too Many Addons  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.0
by: dax006 [More]

This mod is like an 'outfitter' of mods. Type a title and click new profile, select what addons you want to load with this profile, and whenever you click load profile the checked profile will load those, and only those, addons.

It's plain looking, but should run fast and smooth.

Directions:
* There is a new 'addon' button in the game menu that opens up the TooManyAddons interface.
* '/TMA' will also open up the interface.
* Create a profile by typing in the profile name and hitting enter, or you can use the Default profile.
* Select which addons you want to load as part of the profile.
* When it is time to change addons, select the profile, then click 'Load Profile'

features that aren't instantly obvious:

* '/TMA aProfile' will instantly load that profile. Handy for you macrophiles. Spelling must be exact.
* The interface can be moved by dragging the 'profile' frame. You have to click on the edge of the frame or a clear spot.
* A profile called 'Default' is created at the very first use of TooManyAddons, for your convenience. Feel free to delete it.
* A profile called 'Always Load These Addons' will always exist. Anything checked in this profile will always load, no matter what. The checked items will appear grey or shiny in other profiles. By default, TooManyAddons will be checked in this profile.
* Tooltips show you the description, author and status of the addon.
* Clicking an addon will automatically click all of its dependencies.
* Profiles from other characters can be added to the current profiles using the 'import profiles' dropdown.
* The addon can be closed with the 'esc' key.
* Collapse/Expand buttons allow you to hide addons that are groups, for example, the AltasMod. Clicking the group header will click all of the addons in the group.
* Hold down the Ctrl key when selecting profiles to load addons from multiple profiles. Changes made to addons will affect all selected profiles.

many new features

Unhappy Borked by 3.1

Sadly this addon has been wholly borked by patch 3.1

The only error message I caught I have posted here - it must be awfully important because the addon is utterly nonfunctional at this time.

Error occured in: Global
Count: 1
Message: ..\AddOns\TooManyAddons\TooManyAddons.lua line 180:
attempt to index field 'TMAselectedprofilenums' (a nil value)

I have to agree im afraid, the one thing i find that annoys me when using this (being a bit of a graphics whore) is the rather messy layout. Though not a major problem addon-wise, a cleanly arranged GUI would make this addon perfect imho

Not functioning properly

I just loaded the addon (3/6/2009).

The addon will say that another addon is loaded when it isn't. I can use /console reloadui and the other addon still shows it loaded but it isn't.

If i use the "add enabled" button it will sometimes turn on the check box beside addons that weren't on before. I may be misunderstanding the purpose of that button. I thought that I was supposed to use that button after I made changes to a profile.

First of all, Great addon!!! I love the ablity to create multiple profile for different needs, however just one minor glitch, is there a way to keep the frame in a lock position instead of it moving around everytime I load a new profile?

While I find this addon extremely useful, it does have a rather annoying bug.

When you have TMA active, Broker Addons can't launch their addons config / tool tips anymore, which is annoying :<
