auction snatch

Version: 3.0
by: dax006 [More]

Auction Snatch keeps a saved list of items you want to buy from the Auction House, and automatically scans the Auction House for every item on your list. It's very fast and will happen before you even have time to type anything in. If an auction is found, a prompt will appear to ask you what you want to do. The selections in the Prompt are self-explanatory.

Many mods keep track of items you want to remember or search for - but I found it tedious to keep selecting items in the list. Shopping List automates that process. I no longer worry about missing the rare Hyacinth Macaw in the auction house!

Directions:
A new tab will appear on the Auction House Frame. Clicking that will bring up the interface. Type in your search queries, hit enter, and then when your list is complete, click 'Start Search'.

Checking the 'Auto Search' button will automatically start searching when you open the auction house.
'Esc' will always close any open frames.
Items that appear when you search that are not what you were looking for, can be added to an 'ignore list'. Next search, you will not be bothered by that item. You may also ignore items that are too expensive. Shopping List will remember the buyout price of that item, and not prompt you for items above that price.

As of patch 4.0.1, When Auction Snatch is loaded my frame rates are down about 16fps. I'm not even displaying the interface or doing anything, this is just having it in my list of loaded addons.

Very cool mod

I just downloaded and I like it. I was thinking as some others stated about being able to shift click to add items. I also noticed only 1 item is showing up with the icon/avatar on the left side of the window(in my case second item Runed Orb)

A short list of ideas/comments:

.Shift Clickable item adding
.Possible use of item ID#s, this would help with less overhead on ignoring things and simplify the over all process.
.Incorporate the AS window into the main AH window similar to Auctioneer(as an example), this would eliminate the window overlap and give it that polished touch.
.Resizable window for those longer item names
.Move the index number of the item to the beginning of the line or in its own box
.Instead of ignoring an item based on the amount(as this could be virtualy unlimited), maybe give an option to set a price range to ignore

If you need help testing anything, let me know.

Thanks a bunch for your hard work on this cool mod

My weird issue, is that AS works perfectly. But when I go to "Delete" something from the list, it seems to work. However when I log in again, the list is reset as if I didn't delete anything.

I like that idea...any chance of that? And also, before I dl it, is it still working with the current data? I love the idea of this!

What I want to be able to do, is set a shopping list with a specified price. For example, I want it to ONLY buy FULL stacks of Netherweave Cloth that are priced at a buyout price of 2.5g and below.

I then turn these into Netherweave Bags and sell for a profit.

Is this possible, easily, with your addon?

Thanks,

I'm not the author but what I can tell you is there's a button that says too expensive and it won't bring it up on the list anymore. But what I do (since I do the same kind of thing) is Let it search for the frostweave I need, it will bring up the list, then I buy it off the action house as I normally would giving me the flexibility of just picking and choosing how many stacks I want to buy. I already have my AH defaulted to least to most of buy out.

This might not be exactly what your looking for but the ease of it moving on to the next item you always check for --by clicking next item on list-- is great. I personally go through Frostweave Cloth, Frostweave Bandages, a List of world drop patters for my profession, Rare world drop pets, and a bunch of enchant goods, really quick.

I haven't seen an option that states only full stacks, but the way the addon sorts through the AH is pretty efficient.

Also a quick hint for anyone using it. Get a list of those rare enchants and add them to your list, like Cat Swiftness or Mongoose. The recipes themselves are BOP but now with those scrolls/Vellum out there you may be able to pick them up at a little more then cost which might cover the convenience of hunting down all the items yourself and then finding that one enchanter that just happens to be on that can cast it for you.
