BUFX  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.9.30000
by: Norque [More]

Blizzard Unit Frame eXtender

This is the latest stop on my never ending quest for my perfect unit frames. Heavily inspired by Gypsy Unit Frames, BUFX gives the default unit frames health and mana readouts for player and target, and health readouts for party members and your pet. Also included are options to replace the default textures with square frames (on by default), perfect for users of Adapt, as well as an XP/Rep bar (off by default) beneath the frame. BUFX also allows the player and target frames, and the party member frames to be scaled

Commands:
None - Config options are located in the Interface - Addon options panel

Credits:
Gypsy - for doing it first
FuXPFu - From which I was able to make sense of the whole XP/Rep bar thing
Gello - for the code to change the Party Pet frame textures

Known Issues:
Haven't gotten around to changing the focus glow on the target frame, so it looks a little weird.

1.9.30000 - Updated for WoW 3.0/WotLK
- Moved all options to Interface - Addon config panel
- All health and mana strings controlled by DogTag (not yet available in options panel)
- Known issue: Death Knight runes get in the way of the XP bar

1.7.20003 - Updated toc to 2.0.3 (finally)
- updated Ace2 to r28160
1.7.20000 - Updated for WoW 2.0
- Added in healthbar fading, as requested by many
1.6.11200 c- Updated to Ace 2 revision 15896
1.6.11200 b - Updated to Ace2 revision 13682
- Added Ace2 to OptionalDeps
1.6.11200 - TOC updated for 1.12

- Updated Ace2
1.4.11100 - Implemented Feature request 1142
- Added MobHealth3 support
1.3.11100 - Implemented Feature 1135
- Party pet frames now get square textures.
1.2.11100 - Implemented Feature request 1128 - still mostly untested. Seems to work ok though
1.1.11100 - Updated Ace2. Hopefully no more Bug 1752
1.0.11100 - Initial public release

Hi,
Since 3.3 this is no longer working properly for me and my friends. The target frame is no longer being moved which results in the health and mana readouts from the player frame and target frame overlapping each other.

On log in I get this error message:
"BUFX-1.09\\BUFX.lua:289: attempt to index global 'TargetFrameTexture' (a nil value)\nBUFX-1.09\\BUFX.lua:131: in function <Interface\\AddOns\\BUFX\\BUFX.lua:124>\n(tail call): ?:\n<in C code>: ?\n<string>:\"safecall Dispatcher[1]\":9: in function <[string \"safecall Dispatcher[1]\"]:5>\n(tail call): ?:\nAceAddon-3.0-5:539: in function `EnableAddon'\nAceAddon-3.0-5:629: in function <...s\\AckisRecipeList\\libs\\AceAddon-3.0\\AceAddon-3.0.lua:615>\n<in C code>: in function `LoadAddOn'\nAtlasLoot-|cffFF8400AtlasLoot Enhanced v5.09.02|r\\Core\\AtlasLoot.lua:1254: in function `AtlasLoot_LoadAllModules'\nAtlasLootReverse-1.7\\AtlasLootReverse.lua:76: in function <...terface\\AddOns\\AtlasLootReverse\\AtlasLootReverse.lua:60>\n(tail call): ?:\n<in C code>: ?\n<string>:\"safecall Dispatcher[1]\":9: in function <[string \"safecall Dispatcher[1]\"]:5>\n(tail call): ?:\nAceAddon-3.0-5:539: in function `EnableAddon'\nAceAddon-3.0-5:629: in function <...s\\AckisRecipeList\\libs\\AceAddon-3.0\\AceAddon-3.0.lua:615>\n<in C ",

Suggestion

On the scale slider bars put a reset button below them. I move the player one and now I can't get it to the #1 I keep going from 0.99 to 1.01.

How do I set the deficit for the health?
Hi, I also liked this option, so I reactivated it.
It looks now that way: "total HP - lost HP". The original style was something like that: "lost HP / total HP", so if you like to change it back, look it up in lines 158 and 485 of the bufx.lua file.

Edit: Invalid URL deleted, file wasn't up to date after all.

best regards

PS: love it too

My healthbar stays green for all time, regardless of health percentage. I can only get coloring for health values. Any updates planned?

Looks like BUFX is taking the flak from some library i'm using. Working on narrowing it down.
Thanks bud!

Love your addon btw, It's one of those I have troubles playing the game without.

I totally agree with Kostoli about being able to turn off the target and party extra bars. It gets to be too much to look at.

I love this mod! I have used Gypsy Unit Frames for years now, but since it has not been updated in ages and now its broken for me, it was time for me to find a new one. So glad I came across this one!

A few things....

Okey, Personaly i love this MOD. I loved gypsy... Its great to see somone is doing somthing like gypsy again.

#1 - You need to make the Unitframes movable.
#2 - You need to make a GUI options menu, Personaly i dont mine the commands but i know people that are detered completely from using a mod without a GUI options menu.
#3 - You need to make an option somewhere to turn on and off the extra Art on all of the frames. I hate the party & target frames.
#4 - You need to find a way or give instructions on how the make the /script commands to remove things permenant until you make a GUI options menu.
#5 - Keep up the good work.

Hey bud,
You planning on updating the addon so it extends the bars out a tad bit? Before BC the addon was great as the text fit perfectly, now however, nearly everyone has 10k+ health, and the text falls into the borders of the frame. =)

Hi,

is there a way to turn off the target frame modifications? Like the original Gypsy, which did not add any additional artwork to the target frame?

Thanks

Yeah, that should be fixed now.
