FluidFrames  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.4g-50300
by: Dridzt [More]

FluidFrames updated for Mists of Pandaria (WoW 5.x)

The whole addon (including latest Portfolio) is included in the archive for convenience.
Just extract to your AddOns folder like you normally would; no previous FluidFrames installation is required.

Changes:

  • Option to make TimeManager drag-able (off by default, go into options to enable)
  • PVPFrame dragging fixed.
  • New ReforgingUI dragging by header enabled.
  • Frame lists updated for 4.3.
Remove obsolete frame references and we can no longer disable mouse
on models, Blizzard has added scripts for rotation/zoom etc to them.
  • Prevent taint from dragging specific frames in combat.
  • (internal) Set a couple more hooks for immobilized frames.
  • Solve intermittent initialization problems.

Addon Features:
-> Visit the main page FluidFrames by AnduinLothar

2.4g-50300
-----------
- .toc update, compatible with WoW 5.3 "Escalation"

2.4g-50200
-----------
- prevent taint to mail frame.
- .toc update, compatible with WoW 5.2.0

2.4f-50001
-----------
- prevent taint from RaidParentFrame.
- Fix ReforgingFrame so it's draggable from the top portion again.

2.4e-50001
-----------
- prevent taint from PetJournalParent

2.4d-40300
-----------
- MoP Beta compatibility (build 15799 tested)

2.4c-40300
-----------
- fix initialization for those players whose addon variables finish loading AFTER the player has entered the world.
for the technically inclined in wow 3.x and later VARIABLES_LOADED is not guaranteed to fire before PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD on a 'cold login'

2.4b-40300
-----------
- attempt to fix the startup error with TimeManager reported by Kharthus
(still can't reproduce it myself)

2.4a-40300 (based on FluidFrames 2.4)
-----------
- taint prevention
- add TimeManager to options for dragging (default off, go into options to enable)
- fix PVPFrame dragging
- Update frame lists
(we can no longer disable mouse on modelframes Blizzard
has mouse scripts running for zoom / rotate etc on them now)
- set a couple more hooks for immobilized frames
- toc update, compatible with Hour of Twilight (4.3)

Original FluidFrames author is back in business luckily

So patch7 will be the last one uploaded.

Expect the whole thing to be removed as soon as the first FluidFrames version above 2.3 is posted on the main page.

Although it is clearly marked on top of the patch description I'll repeat here
that you need to extract the .zip inside the FluidFrames addon folder.

\Interface\AddOns\FluidFrames\

Not \Interface\AddOns\ like you would be doing with a normal addon.

I did it like this to make sure users understand they need an existing FluidFrames v2.3 installation to use this,
instead of expanding a folder with half the files in AddOns and expecting it to work.

- Dridzt.

Anduinlothar

I'm intrigued, have you heard straight from the horses mouth that Anduin is returning? I haven't heard from Karl in quite a while... Any ideas when he's planning his comeback tour? =P

He updated his other addons on this site and he has sent me a PM fairly recently.

I guess he's enjoying the game itself for a bit, give him some time.

In any case FluidFrames with this patch is not in need of immediate attention as it's not broken,
just a minor inconvenience to users getting the addon in 2 parts (base + patch to overwrite).

I'm having trouble moving my loot window, I can move loot button 1 and it moves the other loot buttons, but then the window becomes disfunctional.

Is there a command I can use like with moveanything to grab up a certain frame?

Oh aye, I don't mean it in so far as I want him to rush back to his addons, just glad to see him up and about at all =D

FluidFramesControlPanelTempDraggableTimeManager.callback(0, true, false) Error:
Interface\AddOns\FluidFrames\FrameTempDragging.lua:113: attempt to index global 'TimeManagerFrame' (a nil value)

Was it a 'cold login'?
I did all my testing with ReloadUI (a bad habit as previous experiences have shown)
so it's possible TimeManagerFrame is LoD and wasn't there on a fresh start.

Not close to my WoW machine atm, but will check it later thanks for report.

Cold and reload.

It's not an lua error pop-up, it shows up in the chat window as addons are loading.

Update: I added Blizzard_TimeManager as a required dependency to your TOC and the error went away.

Yea that would make it go away as #ReqDep is forcing Blizzard_TimeManager to load before FluidFrames.

I'll try to find a more elegant solution

This is one of those things that's going to bother me a great deal,
because while I have a pretty good idea what's the problem I can't find a way
to reproduce the error on my system = "fix it blind"...

@Kharthus.
Can you do me a favor and try the newer archive 2.4b and see if it's error free?
Without changing the .toc.

I understand why it might error but unfortunately I can't reproduce it locally.

Thanks.

Thank you so much for this addon, I love it. Ever since 4.3 (I think, or the newest patch) I need to Reload UI to get it to work on the paper doll and sometimes other windows. Once I do that, everything moves fine. Any Ideas or anything I can do to help please let me know. Oh, I use Move Anything to position and scale my bags and windows. Never has been an issue before.

Thanks again!

Try 2.4c-40300, unless I miss my guess this should be resolved for any users affected.
(the problem would only happen 'sometimes' and not at all for some users)

This seems to have done the trick. Thank you very much for the quick fix!
